This is a short documentary that tells the story of Eglentina Lopez and her family who are facing eviction. They have lived in this house in Chelsea, Massachusetts for ten years and they consider it as their home, especially the kids.
The housing crisis, the problem of gentrification and displacement in Boston is a reality. As rent prices keep going up without any kind of control, more people are forced to move out from their homes. In the case of the Lopez family, they cannot afford to pay the extra 275 dollars that their landlord demands without reasons.
The Lopez family is now waiting for the jury trial, which has been postponed several times in the last couple of months and has now been reschedule for April 2015. The jury will then decide whether they get to stay or they have to move out.
Meanwhile, they continue to fight for their home and support others who are on the same boat.
